George Knott married Martha (?) before 1630; Sandwich. George Knott was FOUNDER in 1637 at Sandwich, Sandwich, MA, USA; This year a large number of people removed from Lynn, and commenced a new settlement at Sandwich. The grant of the town was made, on the third of April, by the Colony of Plymouth. It is ordered, that these ten men of Saugus, namely, Edmung Freeman [2083], Henry Feake, Thomas Dexter, Edward Dillingham [?3741 f, William Wood, John Carman, Richard Chedwell, William Almy [3514], Thomas Tupper, and George Knott [6356], shall have liberty to view a place to sit down on, and have land sufficient for three score families, upon the conditions propounded to them by the Govenor and Mr. Winslow. Thomas Dexter did not remove, but the rest of the above named did, along with fourty-six other men from Lynn." Katherine Deighton married Rev. John Allin on 8 November 1653 at Dedham, MA, USA. Katherine Deighton died in 1671.
